- Contact form: your name, email address, topic and message. We keep these to reply to you and to improve our guides.
- Cookie choice: whether you accepted or declined optional cookies, stored in your own browser.
- Server logs: our host records standard technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and to keep the site running. Logs are deleted on a rolling basis.
We do not ask for, collect or store payment details. There are no user accounts.
How we use it
- To answer your message and follow up on corrections you send.
- To keep the site secure and working.

We do not sell your personal information or use it for marketing emails.
Amazon and other sites
When you click a link to Amazon.com you leave our site. Amazon may set its own cookies to attribute the purchase, and its privacy notice applies to everything you do there. The same goes for any other external site we link to.
Storage and overseas disclosure
Messages are stored on our web server. Our hosting provider may store data outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, loss and unauthorised access.

- Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, or for it to be corrected or deleted, through our contact form.
- Change your cookie choice at any time on the cookie policy page.
- If you are unhappy with how we handled a privacy request, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
